2020 is the first women’s magazine that is solely dedicated to music and style in the next decade. The quarterly publication was masterminded by Jessica Seckington. Having worked on fashion shows for Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Luella, Christopher Kane and Burberry as well as photographers David Sims, Max Vadukul and Steven Klein and assisted menswear stylist Clare Richardson at the Telegraph Magazine. Jessica wanted to create a stylish, artistic answer to what women have wanted for years; a powerful publication that informs and educates people on what the music and fashion industries are doing in a less commercial way. The magazine looks to take its readers behind the scenes to understand the way in which both industries work, in an informative modern tone that is newsworthy featuring Q&A’s and photoshoots.

The first issue sees a guest illustration from JOJENK, the East London based illustrator who is famed for her graffiti art battles and is currently in the process of setting up her own all girl art collective which looks set to shake up the currently male dominated urban art world.

Inside the Summer 2010 Issue 1, 2020 has a star line up of guest contributors including model, TV presenter, and music/style IT girl Naomi Shimada, who gives an exclusive guest piece on plus size modelling and talks to Jessica Seckington about life at the top. Photographer and journalist, Kasia Bobula, who shoots Marina & The Diamonds on the set of her ‘Hollywood’ music video. Super music stylist and fashion director at Twin Magazine, Celestine Cooney, talking about what it was like to work with Marina, M.I.A and Florence + The Machine. Ren Rox shoots ‘Style London’ in a 20-page London Fashion Week special for this summer season and a preview of Autumn/Winter 2010. Powerful music video director Kinga Burza talks to Jessica Seckington about the future of women in music and how she gets her voice heard whilst Akila has photographed Kinga in a beautiful fresh summer shoot. In music, Chicago born rapper Kid Sister talks to Jessica Seckington about Dubstep cracking America, and why English Boys are Best, whilst Radio One DJ Annie Mac talks about the highs of life at the top and how her brand ‘Annie Mac Presents’ looks set to go global.
